AKS Image Comparer - AKS Image Comparer is a utility that allows you to compare two JPG files and show differences between them. For instance, this tool allows you to compare two versions of the same image, chart, diagram or scheme.

Version 1.0 features a plain image comparison algorithm, that allows you to compare images that have just minor differences. For instance, if some parts of the picture were deleted or added, Image Comparer will find and highlight these differences with blocks or colors. This is the 'by pixels' compare algorithm.

Image Comparer might not be as efficient if images were heavily changed, for instance, if an image was rotated or if it was scanned with different options. In this case more complicated algorithms are required.

Image Comparer can easily compare two images where the actual images are moved relative to each other. This is not a problem for Image Comparer, it will highlight differences without a problem.

AKS Image Comparer costs $14 for a single-user license.

About the author: AKS-Labs is a producer and publisher of another compare-related utility called Compare Suite. Compare Suite allows you to compare texts in various popular formats.

it seemed to work, but not for what i wanted it to, problem was the images i wanted to work with were far to big, the program froze up everytime i tried it, but in its defense, my images are humungous, over 100mb to be clear,

I had big problems with a trial version of this program - when I chose the second image to compare, it freezed and I had to terminate it - I tried this on more different PCs, but the result was always the same.

It took to long...

Brought it up for the first time. Loaded two pictures and the thing just sat there and churned on them. After awhile, I gave up..

Would have been Great But............

This software looks as though it would have been great, however, when I used it it failed to pick up changes in images even when they were deliberately done.
It also froze my computer on numerous occasions.
If these problems were delt with this would be a wunderful software achievement with nothing comming close to it.
